Alliances Women in Progress believes that success will be greatly enhanced by the development of long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with other organizations sharing common goals. Women in Progress always makes an effort to first form alliances with appropriate local non-governmental organizations to integrate their existing services into Women in Progress programs before offering redundant services directly. Progressive Women’s Credit Union, Ghana The Progressive Women’s Credit Union (PWCU) has almost 700 female members in Ghana’s Central Region. As women business owners are ready to expand their businesses and require additional capital, PWCU extends loans to women who have a history of savings regularly. Women in Progress offers our program services to the members of PWCU. Cultural & Academic Travel Organisation (CATO) To make overall experience of a volunteer complete, CATO offers program tours that allow volunteers to experience the vibrant history, people, culture, and sites of Ghana. Participants may choose to take weekend tours in the historic Central Region and/or embark on a longer tour before or after the internship to visit Ghana’s other sites. |
