Description:
Alex collected and analyzed the data for the 2011 Annual Report and wrote a portion of the report. After working with many of the Mamas throughout our different locations, she designed and laid the foundation for a larger project, focused on a greater education for our mamas about the organization they embody, and the empowerment and team-building of our mamas at all levels of the organization. Alex also trained staff members on basic computer essentials.
Accomplishments:
Alex assisted WIP in many areas: - Data collection and analysis for the 2011 Annual Report
- Computer training and skills practice
- Qualitative research and focus groups for an organizational presentation
Highlights:
The most memorable part of her experience was the time she spent working in Pram Pram, taking the ideas and inspiration she had for her project into her own hands and putting together something that will be helpful to Global Mamas is the long-run. Alex had so much fun hanging out with Paul and Kelsey, hearing all of their ideas and feed-back, and feeling included in the work that Global Mamas does.
