Cass with the Prampram Mamas

Description:
Global Mamas opened its first Fair Trade Textiles in Prampram earlier this year. There are currently ten women and one man employed as seamstresses and batikers. The goal is to hire more than 200 people in the next few years. Cass is one of the first volunteers to be placed in Prampram to work on product development for our 2012 catalogue.
Accomplishments:
Cass assisted WIP in many areas: - Designed a publication for Global Mamas Retailers
- Created a storyboard of the product development stages
- Wrote Women Success Stories
- Developed new stamp design and sampled the designs
- Created digital files for the Prampram design library
Highlights:
Cass enjoyed living and working so close to the ocean, exploring Ghana on the weekends, making friends with the women at work, and especially the fabric markets! Cass jammed her weekends full of activities and loved exploring with fellow volunteers.
