Description:
One of the largest projects Tori worked on while in Ghana was remerchandising of the store in Osu. Along with three of the other interns, they worked all summer on building new displays, rearranging departments, organizing the stockrooms and creating new signs for the store. Tori was also able to help the store employees understand merchandising a little bit better by giving them a presentation. She also on creating the wholesale bead catalogue and assisted in trend researching and sales analysis.
Accomplishments:
Tori assisted WIP in many areas: - Remerchandised the Osu store
- Educated store employees on visual merchandising
- Finalized bead list for wholesale catalogue
- Helped with product development for the 2012 catalogue trend research
Highlights:
Tori's time in Ghana taught her to expect the unexpected and that when all else fails, laugh! The experience opened up her eyes to new experiences and helped her experience culture different than her own. She learned to truly appreciate life and live it to the fullest. She realized that you can't take life too seriously because everything may not always go the way you hope...especially in Ghana!
