Vacation
Kayci taking the batik workshop with Global Mama Mary.

Description: Every summer Global Mamas begins new product development. It is an overwhelming time when organization and creativity are crucial to keeping the organization running smoothly. Interns are a key part in providing new ideas for each upcoming year as well as the human power to make sure new ideas are realized. Kayci played her part by refining and documenting the assembly of new products including the dog leash, braided necklace, rolled jewelry and quilting kits as well as creating a potential new catalog layout.

Accomplishments: Kayci, as part of the summer design team, assisted in:
  • Quilting Kits planning.
  • Fabric jewelry & macrame dog Leash documentation.
  • Updating the Global Mamas shea butter websites.
  • Designing potential tag and new catalog layouts.
Highlights: Kayci's biggest personal achievement was visiting and living in Africa. She had dreamed of coming to the continent since she was a little girl. She was able to take a huge step in overcoming her anxiety, and was able to travel alone by the end of her stay.
