Description:
Liz put her writing skills to work by generating fresh new depoopions about the styles, vibrant colors and fit of our products for the 2011 catalogue. Liz also wrote articles that showcased our programs, especially as they relate to our implementation of fair trade practices. We also challenged Liz to design new jewelry products using beads made from recycled plastic bottles.
Accomplishments:
During her internship, Liz: - Updated the Fair Trade page for Global Mamas' website.
- Wrote a story about Global Mamas' newest production site in Prampram.
- Developed stories for the 2010 Annual Report.
- Wrote catalog depoopions for all Global Mamas' products.
- Wrote website depoopions for all Global Mamas' products.
- Designed and developed beaded product prototypes for jewelry and ornaments.
Highlights:
Liz loved the variety of projects available for her to work on, and she enjoyed working with everyone on the Global Mamas team. She felt that the experience was so positive because the management style of her internship supervisors allowed her the autonomy and space for creativity, yet she was also provided constructive feedback to work with. Most importantly, she felt that the work itself was purposeful which was constantly energizing.
