Vacation
Grace provides computer training to Patience, WIP's Capacity Building Manager.

Description: Although WIP has come a long way in demonstrating how one can earn a great wage through hard work, WIP wanted to present supporting data that would help the members of the Global Mamas network understand how this approach, rather than aid, helps reduce poverty at the grassroots level.

Achievements: Grace assisted WIP in many facets of gathering data for this project, such as:
  • Conducting focus groups and interviews to understand the Global Mama's feelings regarding the organization, and how these feelings have transformed from when they first started with WIP.
  • Interviewing the Global Mamas about the wage they were receiving for their work and the production demand and the hours spent working.
  • Developing a training program focused on costs associated with movement of goods.
Highlights: One of Grace's highlights was learning that things can still get accomplished even at a slower pace, which is an attitude she wanted to try and take home to her current job.
