Volunteer
Appiah, WIP's night security guard in Cape Coast, shows off his sling shot to David.

Description: The rapid expansion experienced in WIP and Global Mamas throughout 2006 and 2007 warranted the need for expert assistance in the management of WIP's production process to meet increased customer demands.

Achievements: David assisted WIP on its production processes, which included:
  • Assessing the existing production management processes to understand how WIP's production works.
  • Recommending ways to improve its processes.
  • Developing plans for implementing new processes.
  • Co-developing a document to capture the new information in a way that was easy to understand and implement by WIP staff.
Highlights: David enjoyed getting to know all of the volunteers and people of Cape Coast and Elmina.
