A look at the newly-organized Global Mamas store in Cape Coast that Kristen helped to whip into shape.

Description: Global Mamas has expanded our product line substantially over the last few years. WIP was needing help with better organizing the Global Mamas retail store in Cape Coast. WIP was also needing help with completing content for the WIP Annual Report 2006 and publish the quarterly updates.

Accomplishments: Kristen helped WIP in several marketing and merchandising areas:
  • Designed and implemented a new floor plan and layout of store and merchandise.
  • Designed and arranged store product signs to make it very intuitive for customers to find what they needed.
  • Wrote several sections for WIP Annual Report 2006 and helped format the layout.
  • Wrote the WIP Quarterly Updates for Fall 2006, Winter 2007, and Spring 2007.
Highlights: Kristen was glad she had the opportunity to develop strong relationships/connections with some Ghanaian women. She also persevered through some frustrating aspects of Ghana's culture and learned how to adapt, deal with things, and keep going.
