Lisa helps to tag Global Mamas fair trade apparel before sending a large shipment to the USA.

Description: WIP was seeking to make enhancements to the Global Mamas website that would make the customer experience more personalized. This would include more pictures of people wearing or using Global Mamas products and also more interactive so that the women making the products were more visible. WIP was also getting ready to publish our 2006 Annual Report and needed help with the graphic design of the report.

Accomplishments: Lisa assisted WIP in many different areas:
  • Helped to coordinate photo shoots of kids and adults wearing Global Mamas products and organized these photos for publishing on the Global Mamas website.
  • Created various web layout altenatives showing how more photographs of models wearing Global Mamas clothing could be integrated on the site.
  • Designed new banners for the Global Mamas website.
  • Created the graphics and layout for WIP Annual Report 2006.
  • Assisted WIP staff with last minute packing of Global Mamas products for export to the US.
Highlights: Lisa's highlight of Ghana was meeting all the amazing, hard-working women, and eating Ghanaian dishes. Although she spent a lot of time on design layouts, she also appreciated learning a lot about running a business and about NGOs.
