Vacation
Haley watching the 2008 presidential elections at a restaurant in Accra.

Description: When Haley came to Ghana, Global Mamas was in the process of updating their database of businesses for both internal use and for the website. Haley spoke with business owners who are members of Global Mamas in various parts of Ghana.

Accomplishments: Haley was able to assist Global Mamas in the following ways:
  • Interviewing workers from various parts of Ghana.
  • Organizing and updating the database of businesses that are members of Global Mamas.
  • Updating the website with new profiles and editing existing content.
Highlights: Haley got to see a lot of Ghana during her experience. Her interviews took her to Krobo, Ho, Cape Coast, and several other locations. She said she preferred this to staying at one site because she got to know much more about how the program functions. She was impressed at the variety of traditional skills that are still preserved around the country and enjoyed the opportunity to write about them and share them with visitors to the Global Mamas website.
