Make a Donation
There are two easy ways to support Women in Progress in creating sustainable livelihoods for women and girls in Africa.

Make a Direct Donation
Your tax-deductible donation to Women in Progress will help women to help themselves! We carry out economic development programs that help people to earn an honest living, ending the cycle of depending on foreign aid handouts.
  • Make an online donation to WIP through our trusted partners Guidestar and Network for Good. Click on the link below to make your secure online donation.

  • Make a donation to WIP through the mail. Print the form below and mail to WIP with your check.

Donate a Laptop
Women in Progress is always in need of used laptops in good working condition. The laptops will be used to train the producers of Global Mamas in basic computer usage as well as help manage our nonprofit programs in Ghana.
  • We request laptops of any brand with a Pentium 4 processor or faster.
  • Please send laptops to Women in Progress, 2205 NE California Street, Suite #110, Minneapolis, MN 55418.
Shop at Global Mamas
Global Mamas is the brand name that the women in the cooperative use to jointly market their handmade products. WIP enables the economic independence of women in Africa by promoting their traditional skills in producing fair trade products. Global Mamas is a member of the Fair Trade Federation. Shopping at Global Mamas is a sure way to put more money directly into the pockets of the women as they earn a fair wages for their high-quality work.

Raw Materials Revolving Loan Fund
Women in Progress is currently seeking to raise $20,000 to launch a revolving loan fund for the women entrepreneurs participating in our programs. This money will be used to purchase in bulk the raw materials used in producing Global Mamas products. The creation of this Raw Materials Revolving Loan Fund will result in:
  • Business Expansion – The women entrepreneurs will be able to redirect funds currently used to purchase raw materials into business expansion activities like purchasing new equipment or hiring more employees.
  • Increased Profits – Purchasing raw materials in larger quantities significantly reduces the cost of production thereby creating more income for the women business owners and their employees.
  • Enhanced Quality and Consistency in Production – By combining their purchasing power, the women entrepreneurs have more control over the quality of the raw materials they purchase.
To date we have raised nearly a quarter of our $20,000 goal. Please help us achieve or goal by sending a donation today.

Commitment to Self Sustainability
Women in Progress is committed to sustaining our future operations by implementing an income-generation model that will eliminate total dependence on outside funding. The founders of Women in Progress worked hard to develop revenue streams that would enhance our mission rather than distract our focus from it. Through a revenue sharing program, we have directly aligned our financial sustainability with the financial success of the businesses we assist. Moreover, our volunteer program brings in necessary expert resources to assist the women business owners while simultaneously generating revenue to support Women in Progress.
